what is the new jersey law against cyber bullying ?

what is the new jersey law against cyber bullying ?

The law in New Jersey is Sec. 18A:37-14. If you enter "New Jersey 18A:37-14" into Google, the law comes right up. It states that electronic communication is added to the definition of bullying and that schools are authorized to discipline students whose acts disrupt the school environment.
For more about cyberbullying, take a look at "Teen Cyberbullying Investigated" published in January, 2010 and endorsed by Dr. Phil on April 8, 2010 during his show "Bullied to Death."

did anyone ever hear of a law change for drivers licenses in Louisiana?

i heard that they are changing the law in January that you have to be 17 to get a license.

is that true??

Hope this helps

SPECIAL NOTE: According to Act 725 of the 1997 Regular Session (R.S. 32:405.1), effective January 1, 1998, the age requirement for a Class E license has been raised to seventeen (17) years of age. The age requirement for a Class D license remains at seventeen (17). By way of this act, a graduated licensing system for those under seventeen (17) years of age was created. The following is an explanation of that system.

R.S. 32:407
Class E Learners Permit
Age Requirements: 15 and 16 years of age.
Effective January 1, 1998, a minor fifteen (15) or sixteen (16) years of age may only be issued a Class E Learner’s License/Permit. This license will enable the minor to drive while being accompanied by a licensed parent, guardian or a licensed adult at least age twenty-one or older or a licensed sibling at least age eighteen or older but in no event may it be upgraded to a higher class license prior to the minor reaching sixteen (16) years of age. In addition to the licensed parent, sibling, guardian or adult, there may be other members of the permittee’s immediate family in the vehicle and when accompanied by a driver’s education teacher there may be one or more fellow driver education students in the vehicle.

Once an applicant with a learner’s permit reaches his 17th birthdate, that applicant is eligible for full licensure provided he passes the road skills test.

Has the law passed in Indiana that makes you wait to get your lisence until you’re 18?

I live in Indiana and I’m 14, and I heard that the law passed, and I’ve heard that it didn’t. Some people say the government changed it from 16 to 18 but I never heard a positive answer.

A probationary license is issued to drivers who are 16 or 17 years old

Driving With A Probationary Driver’s License
If you are 16 or 17 years old when you get your driver’s license, your license is considered probationary until you turn 18 years old. You may amend your license after you turn 18 years old to remove the probationary driver designation from your license, although if you are 18 years old the probationary driver restrictions will not apply to you even if your license still shows the probationary designation.

If you have a probationary driver’s license every passenger in the vehicle that you are driving must wear a seat belt even if the vehicle is a truck or a sport utility vehicle.

What is the 2010** age of consent law in illinois?

I was told by a police officer that the age of consent law has been changed to 18 in illinois as of jan 1st 2010. I have not seen this anywhere. can someone please clarify or confirm this statement?

Yes, 18 is the age of consent in Illinois, though I’m not certain of the date that became effective. Even when the age of consent was younger, the "adult" could be charged with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

Looking for a good Employment lawyer in Washington DC?

Looking for a good Employment lawyer in Washington DC? I was terminated wrongfully!

If your termination was due to discrimination based on race, gender, national origin, or something else legally prohibited, contact the EEOC.

If your termination violated a union contract you worked under, contact the union.

Other than that, unless you had some sort of contract with your employer that they violated, it probably wasn’t wrongful termination.

In North Carolina, can I ask for a Prayer for Judgment for a speeding ticket after Ive had it continued once?

When I received the continuance I told the district attorney that I wanted to hire my own lawyer; however I wasn’t able to do that. So my question is can I ask for a Prayer for Judgment at my second court date after my decision at the first?

A prayer for judgment? I’m not sure what you think that means, but you can certainly plead guilty at the second court date, or you can plead not guilty and go to trial.

Does it surprise anyone that lawyers have descended on Arizona encouraging?

people to violate the laws of the state and Phoenix city? This is probably one of the blackest times in the history of the US.

A group of legal observers from the National Lawyers Guild was also at that location, helping protestors fill out paperwork with familial contact information, name and date of birth in case they got arrested.

"We want to make sure they don’t get lost in the system," said Thomas Cincotta, of Boston, who said he was a researcher at Political Research Associates.

Covering: The Hidden Assault on Our Civil Rights by Kenji Yoshino

http://www.mslaw.edu
Has the US dealt with class as an anti-discrimination category in sort of meaningful way? Or has discrimination in America graduated from the prejudice of the past to a more insidious targeting of anyone who refuses to convert to the mainstream perception of behavior. Do we punish individualism and insist upon a generic existence for those who wish to taste success in America today?

Yale Law Professor Kenji Yoshino joins Dean Lawrence R Velvel on this episode of The Massachusetts School of Law’s Books of our Time, to talk about his book, Covering: The Hidden Assault on Our Civil Rights.
