I am having trouble finding out the correct law based on statutory rape. In the state of Nebraska, is it legal for a 17 year old (in about 6 months would be 18) to be with someone over the age of 21 WITH PARENTAL CONSENT? Or could that older person face criminal charges? Please answer [...]

I live in Minnesota currently, where the legal age is 18. Next December, I want to move back to Nebraska, although the legal age there is 19. Do I have to follow Nebraska laws, and therefore can’t sign a lease, etc until I’m 19? Or since my parents will still reside in Minnesota, can [...]
